Lisa Ann de Garcia
Lisa Ann de Garcia is both a mother of three, one child with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a former teacher who worked with a wide range of elementary students, including those struggling with math. She spent the past 15 years learning what she considered to be the essential ingredients to teaching the whole child. Initially, through necessity with her own child, Lisa Ann spent many years studying the ins and outs of biomedical interventions and how diet and the environment play a huge contributing role in the dramatic increase of learning disabilities among today's children. Teaching in the inner city, she also saw how eliminating natural movement breaks in exchange for more scripted and longer blocks of teaching affected students' behavior. Over the next several years Lisa Ann dedicated her life to understanding everything necessary for proper brain development, including the role movement, integrated primitive reflexes, proper nutrition, and a supportive environment play. As a result, she is now licensed to teach courses in both Brain Gym® and Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training . She is also a practitioner of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN), Autonomic Response Testing (ART), and NeuroGen HPN Microcurrent Neurofeedback.
