Detox drinks can help keep your body feeling great inside and out

Many people without diagnosed disease still have periods where they just feel a little "off."  If this describes you, you may be experiencing the effects of toxin buildup in your body.

Toxins come from a variety of sources, such as preservatives and pesticides in our food, heavy metals in our water, and chemicals in our skincare products.

A good way to combat this buildup is adding a detox drink to your morning routine. Detox drinks can:

  • Help remove toxins from the body
  • Cleanse the liver
  • Boost your metabolism and energy levels, leaving you feeling fresh and light throughout the day
  • Boost skin health and minimize the signs of aging
  • Reduce inflammation

Many fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices that have a detoxifying effect. They include ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne, aloe vera, lemon, watermelon, cucumber, mint, raw apple cider vinegar, celery, and cilantro. Experiment with these to find your favorite blend. 

Here are a few of our favorite recipes:

Powerful Detox

20 oz water

2 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar

juice from 1/2 lemon

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cayenne

Daily Detox

16 oz water

1/4 inch fresh ginger, grated

2 tsp. raw apple cider vinegar

juice from 1/2 lemon

1/2 cup aloe vera juice

Refreshing Detox

In blender, mix:

16 oz water

Handful of mint leaves

2 cups of cubed watermelon

1/2 cucumber

juice from 1/2 lime
